Simon Lownsborough produces contemporary jewellery that draws inspiration from the convergence of nature and man-made environments, patterns in nature and geometry. His uncluttered forms may reflect aspects of the urban environment or something that has caught his eye, and often incorporates found objects, or re-uses materials such as automotive steel. Silver, titanium, wood, stone and found objects are shaped with hand tools at the bench.
Simon is largely self-taught, and has been making jewellery since the beginning of 2017. Previously he was a graphic designer, and painted or made small sculptures on weekends.
Simon’s work is part of our Online Exclusive range, sold through e.g.etal’s web store.
