The Open Earrings feature two hollowed arches made from sterling silver, with additional details of marking making on silver lines that run through them, brought together for wear by 9ct yellow gold hooks.
These earrings are handmade by Jane Riley, created for her exhibition at e.g.etal gallery, ‘On a Clear Day’.
About the collection: On a Clear Day is a compelling new collection by Melbourne-based artist Jane Reilly, exploring resilience, emergence and transformation in the wake of grief and personal loss. With symbolic motifs of the window and the vessel, Reilly explores the intimate spaces we hold within, and the thresholds we cross to see beyond them.
From concept to material, every element in the collection is imbued with meaning and intent, with copper predominately featured throughout, chosen for its deep associations with memory, lineage and healing.
Encapsulating a sense of stillness and openness, On a Clear Day invites viewers to pause, connect and carry forward the subtle strength embodied in each piece. Despite the emotional depth it carries, Reilly masterfully retains a sense of lightness and play, evoking the joy and clarity that accompany resilience.
The collection is both an offering and a prompt: to wear these works is to activate them, and to move through the world with the strength they represent.
Purchased works from this exhibition will be shipped at its conclusion, from October 2 2025.
