Featuring gemstones gathered over the last 15 to 20 years, Suzi Zutic’s exquisite new collection, ‘Of The Muses’ features designs that reflect the artist’s love of history and fascination of the past. In her first solo exhibition, Suzi has applied her personal interpretation of historical jewellery, to be adorned in a contemporary context.
Primarily crafted in 18ct and 22ct yellow gold- this collection highlights precious stones which form the basis of each piece. Each one a muse in itself, guiding the work and its narrative.
Drawing on the origins of the museum as a space of reverence for memory, creativity and knowledge and rooted in the ancient Greek Mouseion (a place dedicated to the muses of science and art), this body of work explores jewellery as a vessel for alternate histories and forgotten stories.
