The Entwine Necklace with a twisted blackened chain and porcelain vase is a handmade piece by Vikki Kassioras, created for e.g.etal’s exhibition Site Specific.
“This small vase was something I brought into my studio that inspired me. I find the shape beautiful. It is fragile and most probably hand painted and certainly vintage. This piece is an expression of how the items that I choose to surround me, especially in the studio, can inspire the choices I make. Sometimes very slowly and in subtle ways.”
The vase can be slipped out of twisted cord and the neckpiece can be worn with the cord behind the neck.
Site Specific, presented as part of Radiant Pavilion Naarm/Melbourne Contemporary Jewellery and Object Biennial, is an exhibition that pays homage to the relationship between the interior and exterior of our being, and the inability to separate oneself from their environment.
Pieces from this collection will be shipped at the conclusion of the exhibition (from 3 October, 2024).
