Coming Soon: Everything is Dual

Presented as part of Radiant Pavilion, Everything is Dual will exhibit from 3-18 September 2021.

A group of e.g.etal artists will challenge and explore the Principle of Polarity, through a series of contemporary jewellery works.

The Principle of Polarity embodies the idea that everything is dual, everything has two poles, and everything has its pair of opposites – all of which were old Hermetic axioms. It explains that ‘opposites’ are really only the two extremes of the same thing, with many varying degrees between them.

In the case of ‘Light and Darkness’ the difference consists of varying degrees between the two poles of light. Where does “darkness” end, and “light” begin? What is the difference between large and small? Between hard and soft? Between sharp and dull? Positive and negative? Inclusion and exclusion?
