Maria Natoli
Maria Natoli is a contemporary jeweller based in Brisbane. Her current body of work exhibits a minimal and graphic quality that is an exploration of collective memory and familiarity. A vintage lover at heart, she finds inspiration in the search for retro patterns, fonts and prints. She aims to distill and refine these visual fragments, capturing just their essence within her contemporary pieces, with the intention to connect to the wearer’s own experiences and memories.
Maria completed an Advanced Diploma in Engineering Technology in 2012 at NMIT (Melbourne Polytechnic) where upon graduation she received the e.g.etal award. She continued to undertake further private study in jewellery manufacture, and also holds a Bachelor of Education majoring in music.
