Part of Alicia Hannah Naomi’s newest collection, Terroir; these designs are an exploration of the textures of winemaking. Taking inspiration from the gnarled tactility and twisted shapes of the vines and the land upon which wine is grown. The Tannin Necklace features a twisted and imperfect shape and texture inspired by old vines with an Australian blue sapphire in the centre.
The Terroir and Tannin Pieces have been made in exclusive colour-ways for e.g.etal – in white gold and sapphire instead of their original yellow gold and ruby/garnet. In this colour incarnation, the pieces take on a more oceanic visualisation. The textures are still referential to earthly terrains, but instead of inland, we look back to a constant inspiration of hers— shoreline geology, and the mysterious blues of our antipodean seas.
