carnelian beads, black cord, 18ct yellow gold clasp
This neckpiece by Vikki Kassioras was made in honour of Asclepius; a greek hero and the god of medicine. The carnelian beads were chosen as they symbolise health, luck, and royalty.
The beads are approximately 6x4mm in size, in hues ranging from dark brown to orange, strung on black plaited cord with a whipped finish on the ends closest to the clasp. The clasp looks good worn to the side of the neckpiece too.
Notes on wearing:
Please note that there is a lower (thinner) part of the loop clasp that is the part that can pass between the hook so it can be put on and taken off.
Finished length 46.5cm
Approx 2.8grams of gold.
