Rhys Turner was immediately drawn to this glittery freeform sapphire and knew it would be ideal in his open ‘Window’ setting, where the beauty of the cut could be revealed to the wearer. The choice of platinum for the band was a considered one. Where the yellow tones of the sapphire might have led some jewellers to choose yellow gold, Rhys wanted to create contrast, framing the gem in icy white metal.
