e.g.etal is delighted to welcome Melbourne-based jeweller Tessa Blazey, our newest represented artist, into our gallery with her debut exhibition at e.g.etal, True Romance, a collection that transforms the language of cinematic love stories into exquisitely crafted, wearable heirlooms.
Tessa’s work is known to draw on the emotive power of film, translating cinematic moments into wearable treasures that speak of the complex emotional tales of the movies they are inspired by. Each piece in this collection holds a love story in its essence, beautifully captured through explorations of colours, textures, and materials.
Through her distinctive use of gold, experimental wax modelling and careful, intentional selection of gemstones, Tessa sculpts connections for those who choose to honour their own love story by wearing her work.
Tessa’s masterful ability to balance narrative complexity with technique allows this unique collection to stand as a testament to her distinctly refined artistic vision.
Tessa has teamed with the talented Kate Rohde who has crafted a spectacular display inspired by one of the 15 love stories that have informed this unique collection. The resulting exhibition is a cinematic experience in and of itself, inviting those to experience each piece as its own story, with sculptures as stage, and stories as threads that connect wearers to these striking pieces of wearable art.
