18ct yellow gold, Australian emerald
This ring is set with a rare emerald, discovered in a specimen box of rough emeralds from the old Torrington mine. With the mine now closed, this was a special find. When the stone made its way to Georgie’s hands she felt it would be a shame to cut and facet the gem into a traditional shape. Instead, she designed a ‘free-form’ cut, meaning the shape of the rough informs the stone, the wastage is minimal and the organic formations of the stone can be celebrated. Set in a highly textured band with a scattering of diamonds, this is a truly unique piece.
