How do life experiences shape an artist’s practice, beyond merely making, and through the expansiveness of the journey?
Join Melbourne-based contemporary jeweller Vicki Mason, as she shares insights into the role that grants, residencies and international travel have played in directing her creative practice and showcasing her work globally.
Speaking from lived experience, including her time at the Australia Council’s Barcelona Studio and her recent selection as a finalist in Schmuck 2025, Vicki will explore how movement, inquiry and exchange have informed the depth and direction of her practice.
This conversation opens a space for reflection on how people from all disciplines build enduring practices: not only through technical practice, but through engagement, dialogue and the thoughtful pursuit of opportunity.
