Luke Rose draws his inspiration from architecture and the natural world. His design aesthetic is modern, kinetic and structural, often incorporating movement or the suggestion of motion.
After training at the Sir John Cass School of Art in London, Luke worked at renowned jewellers Jess James in London’s Soho. He remained there for 10 years as head of design and production before becoming self-employed in 2009, working on private commissions. In 2010, Luke won the Lonmin design Innovation Award and then in 2013 became one of only two designers to win the award a second time, for his Mondrian inspired SLIDE ring. In the same year, Luke won a commendation in the Goldsmiths Awards in London.
Luke Rose emigrated to Sydney in 2014 and is now the designer and creator of his own jewellery label. In 2017 he was announced as a finalist in the Australian Jewellery Design Awards.
